To install OP1 Ableton Control Surface you need to manually copy some files onto your Ableton Live installation folder. This steps depend on your operating system. Start by downloading the OP1 Ableton Control Surface files.

Mac OSX

• Right click on Ableton Live app and choose "Show Package Contents", navigate to Contents/App-Resources/MIDI Remote Scripts. Finally, drop the OP-1 CS folder into the MIDI Remote Scripts folder.

Windows

• Look for Ableton Live executable file (live.exe), navigate to the folder MIDI Remote Scripts, drop the OP-1 CS folder into the MIDI Remote Scripts folder.

At this point, it is mandatory that you restart Ableton Live, otherwise there will not be an option available. After Ableton Live restart, open preferences, and under MIDI tab, choose OP-1 as control surface.

Connect your OP-1 CS to the computer using the USB cable. Press SHIFT+COM. You should have OP-1 in Ableton Live mode now.
